Obituary
Clay C. Glover, 64, of Lincoln,
passed away September 16, 2025, at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial service will be
held at 5:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2025, at
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Visitation
will be from 4PM until 5 PM.
Clay was born July 29, 1961, in East Peoria, IL.,
the son of Glen Glover Sr. and Erma Jean (Crawford)
Glover. He married Denise Young, and they had two
daughters: Rebecca Jean Glover and Danielle Michelle
Glover.
Clay was a psychologist that dedicated his life to
helping others with their mental health and helping
them fight and break addictions. He was creative and
came from a family of artists. He was a published
author, a historian, and an intellectual. He was
funny, had a childlike spirit, was easy going, and a
friend to pretty much anyone he met. Clay was an
avid outdoorsman, a dog trainer, and had a
connection to nature, the outdoors, and animals.
Above all else, he loved his children and loved
Jesus. |

Survivors include his daughters
Rebecca Jean Glover-Rippon and her husband Brock and
Danielle Michelle Glover and her companion JD; his
grandchildren Lincoln Rippon and Rilee Rippon;
sister Darla Glover and her companion Eric Fisher,
bother Glen Glover Jr. and wife Judy, and brother
John Glover and wife Nicolle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy
Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
