Cathy Ann Witt, 61,
of Lincoln, passed away suddenly on April 17, 2026,
at her home.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett funeral Home. Burial will be at a later
date in Zion Cemetery next to her late husband Gene
Witt.
Cathy was born April 5, 1965, in Lincoln, IL., the
daughter of Anthony Zimmerman Sr. and Barbara JoAn (Hashman).
She married Herbert Eugene "Gene" Witt on August 9,
1996. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2015.
Cathy was previously employed as a CNA, she worked
at Lincoln Developmental Center, she was employed at
Holiday Inn, and then she was a bus monitor. She
enjoyed gardening, spending time with her
granddaughter and family and friends. She attended
Lincoln First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her
children Kimmie Payne and Skyler Witt, her
grandchildren Grace Lynn Payne and Presley Alan
Payne, brother Anthony Zimmerman Jr. (Lori), Aunt
Diana Merreighn, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her
husband.
