Traffic pattern for Balloons Over 66

Keokuk Street / Illinois Route 10
Limit Street/ Illinois Route 121 Campus View Drive and Chapel Road
Dates:
August 28th& August 29th, 2026 from approximately 4pm-10pm
On August 28thand 29th, 2026, the City of Lincoln will enjoy hosting
thousands of visitors and spectators for the annual Balloons Over 66
festival. Other activities over the weekend include the Up in Smoke
BBQ competition, Dock Dogs and Rail Splitter Festival.
This year will be the third year that the night glows and other
activities will be held at the Open Arms Church Campus at 1321
Illinois Route 10 in Lincoln, Illinois.

In order to
accommodate the higher levels of traffic, all visitors entering
Open Arms will be directed to enter the event on Campus View
Drive by turning south off of Keokuk/Illinois Route 10. All
visitors exiting Open Arms will be directed to use Chapel Road
to access Illinois Route 10, both east and west. Balloon crews
will have a designated entrance and exit.
Please follow signage directing visitors where to enter and exit
instead of following your GPS directions.
