Obituary
Michael W. Lenardt,
65, of Normal passed away on Friday, August 14,
2026, at Carle BroMenn Hospital in Normal.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a
later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Michael Wiliam Lenardt was born on December 14,
1960, in Augusta, Georgia, the son of Frederick W.
Lenardt and Linda Leisch.
He is survived by his children: Tammy Burnes, Shane
Lenardt, Mikayla Lenardt, and Austin Lenardt; his
mother: Linda Mecham; six grandchildren; and his
siblings: Ray Mecham, Gary Mecham, Jodi Beavis, Eric
Lenardt, and Toni Atchison. Several nieces and
nephews
also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father and
stepmother: Fred and Gloria Lenardt.
Michael served in the United States Army as a
helicopter pilot. He was a truck driver for Nussbaum
Trucking of Hudson, Illinois, and later owned
Lenardt Transportation. |
His hobbies included
fishing, NASCAR races, camping, Cardinals baseball,
and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
