Brazobán, 36, has a left lat strain. The right-hander pitched
one inning during Monday's 11-2 loss to Texas, allowing one run
and one hit.
Brazobán was acquired in a trade with the New York Mets on Aug.
3. He has a 6.30 ERA in 10 appearances with AL Central-leading
Chicago.
“He got scanned earlier today to see where he was at and was in
a good enough spot to play catch,” White Sox manager Will
Venable said. "When he played catch, it was really bothering
him, so that was the deciding factor.”
The 26-year-old Cannon is 5-6 with a 5.18 ERA in 17 starts and
five relief appearances for Charlotte this season. He has
appeared in one game with Chicago, walking three and allowing a
run while failing to get an out April 12 at Kansas City.
Benintendi, 32, is batting .244 with 13 homers and 65 RBIs in
116 games this season.
