Obituary

Todd D. Newberry, 57, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home, with family, on December 11, 2025.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus in Lincoln, IL. Come share a drink and a story with friends and family and let Todd be the life of the party one more time.

Todd was born May 5, 1968, in Lincoln, IL., the son of Larry and Marilyn "Doody" (Fults) Newberry. He graduated from LCHS in 1986. He worked in construction with his family until he moved to Arizona in 2001. Arizona became his home and Todd made lifelong friends that became family. He was a talented project manager for property management companies, Maxx Property Management and SDB Contracting Services where he won several awards and was instrumental in the success of several projects for the city of Phoenix.

Todd was the life of the party. Everyone loved him the second they met him. He had a smile that could light up a room and gave the best bear hugs. Todd was handsome and fashionable. He loved to shop and especially loved Macy's and anything COACH. Todd enjoyed darts, golf, gardening, happy hour, and spending time in his garage (the garage mahal) enjoying cold bud light and spending quality time with his friends and family.

Survivors include his mother Doody (Bruce)Kaprelian; brother Larry (Cindy) Newberry, sisters Marcey (Jim) Byrge and Nikki (Eric) Roach; nieces and nephews: Shanen (Bill) Kmett, Blake (Lanae) Byrge, Brock Byrge, Fox Harris, Alayna (Alfonso) Lopez, Alex Roach, and Brooke Roach; and great nieces and nephews: Colin, Landon, Lucian, Luca, Presley, and Remi.

He was preceded in death by his father and his infant sister, September.
