- Kathryn J. Bahn, 96, of Sullivan, (formerly of both Chestnut & Mt.
Pulaski, IL.) passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at
Eastview Healthcare in Sullivan, IL.

February 3, 2026, from 10 - 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran
Church in Chestnut, IL.
Service:
Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00am at the church.

Obituary
Kathryn J. Bahn, 96,
of Sullivan, (formerly of both Chestnut & Mt.
Pulaski, IL.) passed away on Wednesday, January 28,
2026, at Eastview Healthcare in Sullivan, IL.
Kathryn was born on August 31, 1929, in Emden, IL,
the daughter of John and Rosine (Hoerbert) Bergman.
She married Verneil “Red” Bahn on December 1, 1968,
in Emden. He preceded her in death in 2015.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Renae (Rodney)
Williams; grandchildren, Paul Williams, Jacob
Williams, and Aaron Bahn; two step-grandchildren,
Austin and Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
Verneil; son, Austin Bahn; one brother, one sister;
and her grandson, Jeremiah.

Kathryn was a lifelong
member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut, IL. She
had a passion for cooking and baking; she often
baked goods for the Logan County Fair. Above all
else, Kathryn loved her family.
Funeral Services for Kathryn will be held on
Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00am at Zion
Lutheran Church in Chestnut, IL. Visitation will be
held one hour prior to the service (10:00-11:00am)
Burial will follow the services at Laenna Cemetery
in Chestnut, IL. Memorial donations may be made in
Kathryn’s name to Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mt. Pulaski.
