2, 2026, at Copper Creek Cottages

Obituary
Ralph E. Helton, 96,
of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 2,
2026, at Copper Creek Cottages.
Ralph was born December 11, 1929, in Lincoln, IL,
the son of Raymond and Ethel (Beaver) Helton. He
married Shirley Lakin on August 27, 1950, at
Chestnut Lutheran Church. They were married for
sixty-nine years before she passed.
Ralph is survived by his children, Allen (Jill)
Helton and Lorraine “Lorri” (Jim) Tipsord; four
grandchildren, Adam (Samantha) Nagrocki, Misty
(Brian) Goodman, Lacy (Jake) Wall, Ali (Chris)
Algeria; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Glen
Helton; sister-in-law, Linda (Bill) Martinie; and
many nieces and nephews. |
He was preceded in
death by his parents and wife, Shirley.
A private funeral service for Ralph will take place
at Fricke- Calvert- Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Burial will follow the service at Zion
Cemetery in Lincoln. A celebration of life will be
held for friends and family. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made in Ralph’s name to the
Alzheimer’s Association or Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
