On Saturday, approximately 70
students participated in the prom grand march. Friends and family
gathered outside on the courthouse lawn to watch their loved ones
walk down the courthouse steps. It was a cool evening, with a slight
breeze, as the sun began to set over the courthouse. After all the
prom goers exited the courthouse, they announced members of the prom
court.
Prom court members were Meridith Nixon, Franklin Wade, Alyson
Murphy, Jaeden Jackson, Brooke St. James, Eric Cooper, Addison Maus,
Aaron Kuznik, and Elayna Marten. Prom King and Queen were announced
later in the evening. Alyson Murphy was crowned as Queen, and Eric
Cooper as King.

Then, they greeted their family and
friends and took pictures around the courthouse, on the square, and
on the gazebo by the courthouse. Some students took pictures in
their convertibles.

After the Grand March,
attendees headed to Prom at the American Legion Hall, where the
theme was “Under the Sea”. Prom lasted until 10:00p.m., and then
students were welcomed at the high school for post-prom, where
there was an array of gift baskets and prizes.
