Flags for Health display returns to the LMH Wellness Trail thanks to local community support

[May 23, 2026]  LINCOLN – One hundred American flags now line the LMH Wellness Trail as part of Lincoln Memorial Foundation’s “Flags for Health” display, made possible through the generosity of local donors.

The display features sponsored American flags placed along the Wellness Trail in recognition of patriotism, remembrance and community support for local healthcare. Flags will be displayed during Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day observances throughout 2026.

Each flag waves in tribute while also helping strengthen healthcare close to home. Proceeds from the initiative support Lincoln Memorial Foundation priorities including patient care, medical technology, workforce development and community health and wellness programs.

“This display is a visible reminder of how deeply this community cares about both country and community,” said Sarah Helm, director of the Lincoln Memorial Foundation. “Every flag represents someone choosing to invest in the health and future of our community. We’re incredibly grateful for the local donors who make our work and impact possible.”

Community members are encouraged to visit the Wellness Trail throughout the display weeks to experience the tribute and recognize those being honored and remembered.
