Rochester dominates Lincoln on the court

[September 02, 2026]  The Rochester Rockets volleyball team remained undefeated on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 as they beat Lincoln 25-12 and 25-15 on Neil Alexander Court.

Rochester senior Peyton Zeidler, who just recorded her 1,000th career kill on Monday versus Williamsville, led the Rockets with 14 kills.

Lincoln sophomore Grace Bivin led Lincoln with five kills.

This young Lady Railers squad brought the energy and really held their own early against the senior-led lineup from Rochester.

Early in set one a kill by Sage Gilbert and three kills from Grace Bivin kept Lincoln in the game, trailing just 5-7.

After an ace by Kianna Hassebrock and an error by the Rockets, the two teams were tied 7-7. A kill by Peyton Zeidler, which was a monster shot down the line, gave the Rockets the boost they needed and an 11-9 advantage.

In the final minutes of set one Rochester would go on to outscore Lincoln 14-3 while claiming a 25-12 victory.

After Zeidler’s kill down the line early in set two, the Rockets were off to a 6-4 lead. Bivin answered with a huge kill of her own down the line, but with Katie Riedle and Cami Berberet coming up swinging for the Rockets their lead grew to 8-5. A kill by Gilbert made the score 11-7 but the Rockets always seemed to have an arsenal of hitters to call upon. A cross court kill by Zeidler created a 17-9 lead for the Rockets. Sophomore Kendal McWherter put down an impressive kill for Lincoln to give the Lady Railers double-digits, but pretty quickly the Rockets were up to a 19-11 lead. One final kill by Bivin made the score 19-12 and that would be all Lincoln had to cheer about. The Rockets ran away with a 25-15 victory in set two to end the night quickly in the Varsity contest.
