Come celebrate the birth of our Lord with us. KIDS WORSHIP—December 2018 During the month of December, during Kids Worship we will learn that Christmas means a lot more than the presents that are under the tree! Kids will discover that the events of Christmas involved a lot of “telling.” Prophets told, the angels told, the innkeeper undoubtedly told, and shepherds as well had a lot to tell. Through this series, we will find that we can continue to tell the story of Jesus’ birth and that our “telling” still has an impact on the world today! If you would like to encourage and review this study with your child, the weekly topics are listed below (the weekly point is listed in italics). During this month we will focus on a key verse from Luke 2:11, “The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!” • Prophets Foretell Jesus’ Birth. Isaiah 7:14; 9:6–7; We put our hope in Jesus. • An Angel Appears to Mary and Joseph. Matthew 1:18–25; Luke 1:26–38; We believe Jesus is God’s Son. • Jesus is Born in Bethlehem. Luke 2:1– 7. We receive God’s greatest gift. • Shepherds Learn That Jesus is Born. Luke 2:8–20; We tell others about Jesus. • Wise Men Visit Jesus. Matthew 2:1–12; We seek Jesus every day.
