2019 Area Fall Festivals LINCOLN DAILY NEWS Sept. 18, 2019 Page 15 In the non-profit pick-up truck entry, first place was awarded to a replica of Hawes Grain Elevator Museum. Susan Swearingen received first place for costumed walkers by wearing a sign that said “Change with the times, go digital. Several children rode decorated bicycles through the parade route and young Joanie and Olivia were awarded first place. The Flowerbuds received first place for the one and only float entered in the parade. Newly crowned festival princess Hailynn Emery and Prince Luke Wibben rode through the parade on a new golf cart. Other local royalty participating in the parade were Logan County Fair Queen Skye Kretzinger, Junior Miss Anna Kindred and Little Miss Joli Grisham. Other entries included elected officials and candidates running for office in the upcoming March election, several area businesses, the Olympia Spartans Marching Band, the American Legion, the Boy Scouts and the Tin Lizzie Patrol. The parade also featured local emergency units such as the Atlanta Fire Department, Rural Fire Department, and the Atlanta Rescue Squad.
