Page 178 2019 Logan County Fair LINCOLN DAILY NEWS July 28-August 4, 2019 Reserve Grand Champion Pair of Wethers – Jayden Lawrence Jr. Sheep Showmanship – Audrey Cooper Sr. Sheep Showmanship – Jayce Coers After the competition the members of 4-H gathered in the center of the sheep barn to present Coers with a thank you gift for his service; a plaque reading, “The BEST memories are made on the Farm.” The afternoon ended with the First Annual Sheep Costume Contest. Contestants included winners, Brantley Conrady, as Yankee Doodle Dandy; and his mom, Janna, as the Statue of Liberty, with sheep; Star and Yosemite Sam with sheep, Bertha. Youngsters in the competition had slogans, “Eat more Chikin” and “Surfin’ in the Ewe S. A.” All those who participated had a great time and encouraged more to join them next year.
