Page 78 2019 Logan County Fair LINCOLN DAILY NEWS July 28-August 4, 2019 TUESDAY, JULY 30, 2019 Making Memories Logan County Youth Art Program Photos by Derek Hurley All Logan County students in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were invited to participate in the program. Nearly eight hundred drawings were collected from the schools and readied for display. Thanks to the school administrators and teachers for lending their students assistance, guidance, and encouragement. Children were asked to choose a medium for their drawing, crayon or pencil. A great number of the drawings were a combination of both some also included markers. It was at the discretion of the judge which category to place the artwork. The drawings were judged by grade and the two mediums. Creativity, imagination, the use of the medium and color were the criteria used by the judge. The goal for this program is simple. Make it easy for each youngster in the county to be a part of the fair and be excited about their artwork.
