Even in the Bible, you can read the story from different perspectives. Matthew’s story is political and even a little dark. Mark says nothing. Luke shares what has become our traditional Christmas story. How about from the apostle John? John’s story in the Gospel of John probably doesn’t look much like the Christmas Story. This would not be the way we tell our children about Christmas. We do NOT speak of Christmas in this way …YET. I believe John’s Christmas story is from a heavenly perspective. It says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.
