Skylir Kenning has worked four years and 11 months. --- Diane ‘Nurse Diane’ Stephenson is the Director of Health Services at Lincoln College and is a registered nurse. “She has dedicated her entire life to the health and safety of others. “Nurse Diane’s work ethic and care for the Lincoln College staff and students is extraordinary. Nurse Diane has been on campus EVERY SINGLE DAY since the beginning of this crisis, even before the stay-at-home order was put into effect. Nurse Diane comes to campus and does temperature check for the remaining international students on campus. She has also worked to address any healthcare needs and has assessed many processes at our college to ensure that we are practicing to the best of our ability and maintaining health and safety. “Back in March, I (Jalen Faith) was in Europe. This was right around the time that the travel bans were going into effect. It was a very stressful and scary time for me, but thanks to Nurse Diane it was not so bad. Nurse Diane remained in constant contact with me, ensured my safety, and helped me come home safety while keeping everyone else safe. She checked on me while I was in self-isolation and ensured that I had everything that I needed. “How much she has helped not only Lincoln College, but the city of Lincoln, has been incredible and I have never seen anything like it. She is doing all of this without being asked, she is doing this because she is a kind person and cares for everyone she comes in contact with. “In my opinion, she is not only a hometown hero in relation to Covid-19, but a hero every single day with or without a crisis. I am proud and honored to have met Nurse Diane.” --- Deb Detjen Galligos and Andrew Galligos “Deb Detjen Galligos has been working on the frontline at the Covid Clinic on Sixth Street in Springfield.
