2020 Hometown HEROES Magazine LINCOLN DAILY NEWS May 14, 2020 Page 15 Seth Goodman “Besides being an up-standing Mayor of Lincoln and a successful business owner, he’s a remarkable young man. Seth has made a difference in our community and in many of its members’ lives! “Over his young years, Seth has generously donated personal funds to many community events and individuals out of the goodness of his heart. His kindness has inspired other community members to also make donations in order to help families and small business owners in a variety of ways, especially during this pandemic we’re all facing. “Seth knows how to bring a community together to help one another. “Seth is a very hard working young man whether serving as the city of Lincoln’s Mayor or as a local business owner of ME REALTY. I’m very proud to have the honor of knowing Seth as a teenager, to him becoming a respectable adult who loves Lincoln and the people who live here.” --- A few of the Atlanta Ag 4-H ‘Hero Challenge’ answers who touched your hearts, put a smile on your face or made a difference? “My hero is Gary Kloess. He is a family friend and he makes videos on facebook with jokes and things to keep people motivated and he brings my family together and we all watch him. He makes my mom laugh a lot. This is my hero.” - Winton Carlock “My hero is Alex Ulrich. He is traveling to areas delivering face masks to all first responders. Our family was able to help put the masks together. He’s risking his own life to help others as well as our first responders. Therefore he is my hero.” - Jamie Carlock “My hero that I chose is a nurse at the Atlanta Doctors Office, Nurse Nina Riegler. It is great that our town has the chance for having a small town doctor’s office, and they have taken care of my grandparents over the years. We are thankful for their help in this time of uncertainty.” - Cavit Schempp “My hero is Paula Mondragon. Paula is a nurse and helping others during this time of need.” - Mary Carlock We hail each and every one above as ‘Community Heroes’ who have stepped up to help others during this extraordinary event. They and many other un-named heroes have impacted our lives for the greater good and we thank them for their care. We know there are thousands more who have made a tremendous difference by small and big gestures during this challenging time. LDN thanks all those who took the time to share their nominations as they too are heroes in worthy attitude and helping our focus: Jill Awe, Atlanta Ag 4-H, Cathy Baker, Stephanie Benedict, Sarah Dinger, Jalen Faith, Kent Froebe, Marybett Fuoss, Karen Hargis, Trav Ingram, Mary Beth Jackson, Amber Jordan, Marta McCall, Dawn Miller, Kathy Moore and Joe Ryan.
