2020 Hometown HEROES Magazine LINCOLN DAILY NEWS May 14, 2020 Page 77 Covid card shower for Lelia Curry on her 90th birthday L elia Curry will be turning 90 years old on April 8, 2020. Her niece Suzi (Curry) Alsup is asking the community to honor Lelia on her birthday with a card shower. Lelia is currently enrolled in a hospice program at a nursing home is Missouri. Because of the COVID-19 lock downs of senior care facilities, she cannot have visitors on her birthday, which is a sad situation for her daughter Rosalind because, frankly, this may be Lelia’s last birthday. Lelia, along with her brother the late Bud Curry of Lincoln, and sister Norma grew up in Lincoln at the Odd Fellows Orphanage. Lelia loves receiving mail and right now especially it would be a great attitude boost for her to hear from those who may remember her from her childhood, or just those who wish to make her special day a little better. As we noted, Lelia is the aunt of Suzi Alsup of Lincoln and the great aunt of Erin Soloman (Giggles & Gab) of Lincoln. Her mailing address is: Lelia B.
