THEYARE MY HERO’S and I’m saving my modest income to spend it with them and surely support that they open.” --- Caring for family Danita Steffens mother “was recently diagnosed with cancer. After being denied visits at the hospital/nursing facility because of social distancing, Danita made the decision to become her mother’s full-time caregiver. With her mother living with Danita’s family, they are making treasured memories.” -- Preparing and/or purchasing and delivering meals “Angie Cyrilik has continued to organize taking donations for across Logan County and then going and purchasing and delivering meals to our essential workers. She continues to find something to do even though she has a family of her own but is taking the time to do something that helps all our community.” --- John and Karen Carter - “Karen is the RN Care Coordinator at ALMH, she also teaches CNA classes at Heartland Community College. On top of these responsibilities Karen, along with her husband John, organize and prepare a meal for over 30 people each Sunday. Family, friends and coworkers alike have been the recipients of these fantastic meals. “They truly represent the best among us!” --- “Open Arms Christian Fellowship Pastors Larry and Wendy Crawford and their army of helpers have done amazing work for the betterment of this community. Week after week they have partnered with local restaurants to serve free lunches on Sundays to those in need of a hot meal and a sweet smile. CONTINUED u
