2021 Logan County Fair Lincoln Daily News July/August 2021 Page 69 Continued p 2020 Miss Logan County Fair Queen snips the ribbon on the 85th fair W hile many consider the first day of the Logan County Fair to occur on a Sunday when the Downstate Classic Harness Races start, the official first-day ribbon-cutting ceremony has always been held on Tuesday. Tuesday is the day when Tinsley Amusements begins offering carnival rides and games. Food vendors are set up on the mid- way, displays are set up in the multiple exhibit barns, and the Logan County Fair Queen, Junior Miss, and Little Miss crowned in the previous year place crowns on a new royal court at the end of the evening. This week marks the 85th anniversary of the Logan County Fair. There was a large turnout for the ribbon- cutting ceremony at the west gate of the fairgrounds. Several board members accompanied Logan County Fair Association President Kevin Kurtz, members of Logan County and city of Lincoln governments behind the ribbon.
