Scott was a local celebrity and for good reason, he touched the lives of people in ways that we as the younger law enforcement officers only hoped to do. A wealth of knowledge for younger generations whether it was in his Dojang or teaching young deputies.” Because of his life-long commitment to teaching the youth of this community through martial arts and DARE, the Brown family along with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office created the Deputy Scott Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide a $1,000 scholarship to a student from each of four high school’s where Logan County students attend. In addition, there will be a Scott Brown Memorial Golf outing at the Lincoln Elks on July 16th to raise funds for the scholarship.
