2019 Paint the Paper Pink Lincoln Daily News October 2019 Page 53 T he staff in all the District 27 Schools in Lincoln recently held a special blue jean day. Staff made a donation to the American Cancer Society for the privilege of wearing blue jeans to work. The fundraiser brought in $600 and presented it to the Friends and Family Relay Team with Logan County Relay for Life. The money donated will be designated to ACS’s Breast Cancer Awareness program and will be utilized for services and support for those battling breast cancer within Logan County. Superintendent Kent Froebe said that he loves seeing the staff support local causes because there are needs to be addressed right here in our home community. A check for $600, almost double what they raised last year, was presented to Roy Logan of the Friends and Family Relay Team by Froebe. Those present for the presentation included left to right: Northwest School Principal Chris Allen, Lincoln Junior High Principal Mike Workman, Froebe, Logan, Washington–Monroe Principal Ginger Chaudoin, Adams School Principal Christa Healy and Central School Principal Kelly Bogdanic.
