2021 PAINT THE PAPER PINK LINCOLN DAILY NEWS Oct./Nov. 2021 Page 63 O n Sunday, October 3rd, Styles Cafe’ in New Holland took the Pink Challenge, hosting a quarter auction fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society. For $15 bidder received one bidder paddle and a roll of quarters. They could also purchase additional paddles and use money beyond their roll of quarters to bid as long as they did so according to the prescribed bid amounts and in quarter increments. Bidders could also purchase an “all in’ paddle that assured they could win without further bidding if their number was called. The auction was very well attended and all the guests enjoyed bidding on the numerous items donated to the auction by area businesses and individuals. In addition, there were vendors set up selling their wares, many of which included fall decor items. The fundraiser brought in $934 for the American Cancer Society.
