Rhubarb Cherry Crisp

“My Mother-in-law’s recipe. Very good!”
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup flour
˝ cup butter, softened
4-5 Cups rhubarb, chopped
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup water
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup cherry pie mix
Mix together brown sugar, oatmeal, flour and butter; press ˝ of
the mixture into a 9x 13 pan. In saucepan combine rhubarb, corn
starch and water; boil until thick. Add almond extract and
cherry pie mix. Put mixture on top of crust and sprinkle with
the remainder of dry mixture. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
