SUBMITTED by Sara, Logan County

3 eggs, beaten slightly
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup corn syrup, light or dark
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups pecans
1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie shell

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pie shell in a 9 inch pie pan. Sprinkle pecans on top of the shell. (pecans will float to the top later) In a medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar and flour blending completely. Then add the syrup, butter and vanilla. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes in the lower level of the oven; knife inserted in center of pie should come out clean if pie is done.
