Key Lime Cake

“A co-worker shared this recipe with us when she brought it to
work. It’s amazing!”
1 box lemon cake mix
1 small package lime gelatin
5 eggs, beaten slightly
1/2 cup orange juice
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
Glaze:
4 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 cup lime juice
Icing:
1 (16 oz.) package powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
8 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon extract
2 drops green food coloring, optional
In mixing bowl with electric mixer, blend together cake mix, dry
gelatin, eggs, orange juice and oil. Pour into greased 13 x 9
inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. In small bowl,
combine powdered sugar and lime juice; pour over warm cake right
after removing the cake from the oven. Let cool completely. Mix
powdered sugar, butter, cream cheese and vanilla; cream together
with mixer. Frost cooled cake.
