Simple Cherry Surprise
“the surprise is…. how easy it is to make.”
1 can cherry pie filling
1 box Jiffy white cake mix
¼ cup melted butter
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup coconut
Spread pie filling into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Sprinkle with
cake mix. Drizzle with melted butter. Sprinkle with nuts and
coconut. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55 minutes or until it is
light brown and bubbly. Serve warm with a dip of ice cream or
cool with a dollop of whipped topping.
Food Editor’s NOTE: I haven’t made this, but 55 minutes seems
like a long time to bake. I’d start watching it after 30 minutes
so not to over bake.
