Building projects expand Lincoln College campus

[APRIL 7, 2000]  Lincoln College has begun a three-step building project that will bring the campus a new dormitory, a new classroom and office building, and an addition to the present Johnston Center, headquarters for the performing arts.  Construction has started at all three sites.

The objective of World Health Day is to raise global awareness of a specific health theme and to highlight a priority area of concern for the World Health Organization. The priority area of World Health Day 2000 is blood safety, and the theme is “Safe Blood Starts With Me – Safe Blood Saves Lives.”

Severe weather expected

[APRIL 7, 2000]  Watch for severe weather to arrive between noon and 2 p.m. today. Reports call for possible thunderstorms throughout Central Illinois. Thunderstorms are accompanied typically by high winds and hail. Weather conditions may yield potential tornado activity. Severe weather is expected southeast of I-55 around 2 p.m., moving toward the Indiana border by 7 p.m.
