Raymond Brinkmeyer

Raymond H. Brinkmeyer, 83, of Lincoln died at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at Maple Ridge Care Centre.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Burial, with military rites, will be in Irish Grove Cemetery, Middletown.

Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour before the service time.

Brinkmeyer retired from the GM & O Railroad and also worked for the New Holland-Middletown school district.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He was born March 8, 1918, in Menard County to Herman and Elizabeth (Schaub) Brinkmeyer. He married Florence H. Agnew on Dec. 24, 1940. She died Feb. 16, 2001.

Surviving Brinkmeyer are one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Beverly) Sparks of Lincoln; one granddaughter, Stacey Sparks of Bloomington; one brother, Elmer Brinkmeyer of Lincoln; and four sisters, Lucille Lee of Lincoln, Dorothy Wark of Middletown, Florence Dixon of Chicago and Lorene Tackman of Mason City.

He was a Lutheran and a member of the Middletown American Legion.

Memorials may be made to Middletown Historical Society.


Lucy Hutchison

Lucy Kay Hutchison, 79, of Broadwell died at 2 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Pana Community Hospital in Pana.

Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln. Jan Rose, pastor of Broadwell Christian Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Kline Cemetery, Broadwell.

Visitation will be one hour before the service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hutchison was a homemaker for her family.

She was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Jackson, Ga., to Ernest and Rosa (Crumbley) Williams. She married James R. Hutchison in Jackson, Ga., on Nov. 25, 1945.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Lyn Hopkins of Lincoln and Roseanna Rice of Mount Pulaski; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.


Jason Richner

Jason Seth Richner, 28, of Hillsboro, formerly of Mount Pulaski, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2001, at his home.

His funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 30, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating.

Burial will be in Laenna Cemetery, Chestnut.

There will be no visitation.

Richner was a superintendent at Naples, Fla., and Illinois golf courses.

He was born Nov. 5, 1972, in Canton to Michael and Jennifer Richner.

Surviving are his parents, of Mount Pulaski; one brother, Justin Richner of Mount Pulaski; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Perle Jo Richner of Chestnut; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Wanda Brown of Lincoln; and his paternal great-grandmother, Gwendolyn Morris of Mount Pulaski.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Lincoln or to the donor’s choice.

Max Correll Jr.

Max Correll Jr., 75, of Lincoln died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2001, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.

Burial, with full military rites, will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Correll was dietary manager for 33 years at Lincoln Developmental Center.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the World War II and the Korean War.

He was born July 28, 1925, in Jacksonville to Max and Bertha (Dennis) Correll Sr. He married Edna L. Coop in Jacksonville on April 17, 1948. She died Dec. 2, 2000.

Surviving are one son, Mark Correll of Lincoln; two daughters, Pam (and Walt) Ellegood of Lincoln and Karen Cohen of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

C. Wayne Plank

Claude Wayne Plank, 56, of Delavan died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A graveside service was at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan, with the Rev. Jim Thomas officiating. Military rites were accorded at the burial.

Visitation was at Davis Mortuary in Delavan before the service.

Plank was employed by Caterpillar Inc. in Morton.

He served in the U.S. Air Force Air Police during the Vietnam War.

He was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Pekin to Champ and Bertie (Watkins) Plank. He married Phyllis Marshall on June 1, 1967, in Lincoln. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Diane (and Adam) Teasley of Boys Town, Neb., and one sister, Louise (and Harry) Thompson of Emden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Anthony Plank.

He was a member of the Christian Church.
