Don Routson

Don Sherril Routson, 69, of New Holland died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Tom Gerdts officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Routson was a carpenter. He worked through the Carpenter’s Union of Lincoln.

He was born July 29, 1931, in Lincoln to Clifford McKinley and Neva Marie (Shull) Routson. He married Phyllis Stiles on June 1, 1957, in Mount Pulaski.

Surviving Routson are his wife, in New Holland; two sons, Mark and Doug Routson, both of Lincoln; four grandchildren, Laura Beth Routson, Jason Lee Routson, Darrin James Routson and Conner Douglas Routson; and one sister, Marcella Wilson of Lincoln.

He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and Gold Wing Road Runners Association, Chapter "P," of Lincoln.
