Harold Haines

Harold L. Haines, 91, of East Peoria, formerly of McLean, died at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, in Peoria.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at the McLean United Methodist Church. The Rev. Al Simonson will officiate.

Interment of cremains will be in McLean Cemetery.

Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, is in charge of arrangements.

Haines was employed as a printer at the Daily Pantagraph in Bloomington for several years before he retired in 1975.

He was born Sept. 4, 1910, at Atlanta to Alphus O. and Emma Gail Spindler Haines. He married Elizabeth Baker on Nov. 21, 1951, at McLean.

Surviving Haines are his wife, of East Peoria, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

He was a member of the Pantagraph retirees, Typographical Union, Miller Park Pinochle Group, McLean Senior Citizens, Atlanta Christian Church and a 60-year member of the Atlanta Masonic Lodge.

He and his wife enjoyed training and showing collie dogs in obedience.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Frances Costello

Frances Costello, 87, of Jensen Beach, Fla., formerly of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, in Florida.

Her funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln. 

 Visitation will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, at Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln. 

Ms. Costello had retired from Kimberly Clark Paper Company in Spooner, Wisc. where she worked as a secretary. 

She was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Lincoln to Thomas and Annie Sanderson Cronin. Her husband, Maurice Costello, preceded her in death.

Surviving Costello are her stepdaughter Marjorie Costello, of Spooner, Wisc., and one sister Florence Funk, of Lincoln. 

She was preceded in death additionally by one brother and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
