Frank
H. Mason, 82, of Lincoln died at 4:10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002,
at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Mason
was cremated.
Graveside
services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Irish Grove
Cemetery, Middletown. American Legion Post 672 of Middletown will
conduct military rites.
Mason
was a construction worker and foreman for Jones Blythe Construction
Co.
A
U.S. Navy veteran, he served in the South Pacific during World War
II.
He
was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Middletown to Andy and Lena Sheneman
Mason. He married Helen Davison in Lincoln. She survives.
Also
surviving are one daughter, Pamela Mason (and Greg Antonacci) of
Dawson; one granddaughter, Tara Snelling of Springfield; three
brothers, Paul (and Ellen) Mason of Middletown, Nick (and Wanda)
Mason of Rock Falls and Pat (and Carol) Mason of Pekin; and four
sisters, Judy (and Don) May of Lincoln, Betty (and Bob) Smith of
Utica, Mich., Dorthea McElderry of Colorado Springs, Colo., and
Carolyn Johnson of Bradford, Ark.
He
was preceded in death by two sons, Rodney and Randy Mason; two
brothers, Edwin and Robert Mason; and four sisters, Ruth Killion,
Helen Greco, Hazel Peters and infant sister Laura Mason.
He
was a member of the Middletown First United Methodist Church and
American Legion Post 672, Middletown.
In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church.

Lee "Joey" Boughan, 18, of Lincoln died Wednesday, Feb.
20, 2001, in an automobile accident at 890 1575th Street,
Lincoln. Pronouncement of death was at 11:25 p.m.
Visitation
will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln, following a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
A
memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Church in
Lincoln, with the Rev. Edward Higgins officiating.
Boughan
graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 2001. He was a
four-year letterman in wrestling.
He
was born May 17, 1983, in Springfield to Stacy and Rebecca Hemenway
Boughan.
Surviving
are his parents, of Lincoln; one brother, Andrew Boughan of Lincoln;
one sister, Abby (and husband Greg) Kirk Jr. of Lincoln; one nephew,
Nolan Kirk of Lincoln; maternal grandparents Eli and Marilyn
Hemenway of Des Moines, Iowa; paternal grandparents Stan and Jenny
Boughan of Lincoln and Norma Dirks of Naples, Fla.; maternal
great-grandmother Fern Vanzwol of Worthington, Minn.; and his aunts
and uncles, Julie and Bill Becker of Naples, Fla., and Pat and Laura
Hemenway of Las Vegas, Nev.
He
was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Tacy G. Hemenway-Cunningham.
He
was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

Prince, 96, of Kimberling City, Mo., died at 6:35 a.m. Friday, Feb.
22, 2002, at his home.
He
was born March 4, 1905.
Funeral

Russell
"Rusty" Farmer, 65, of Lincoln died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday,
Feb. 21, 2001, at his home.
Visitation
will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
The
funeral service, also at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader in Lincoln, will be
at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Mark Peters will officiate.
Burial
will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Farmer
owned Rocking Horse Campground in Middletown and farmed in Logan
County.
He
had served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He
was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Lincoln to Russell and Helen Grubb
Farmer. He married Jean Ingram on Sept. 26, 1958, in Lincoln. She
survives.
Also
surviving are his mother, Juanita Farmer of Port Charlotte, Fla.;
two sons, Bret (and Beth) Farmer of Middletown and Glen Farmer of
Middletown; one daughter, Debra (and Calvin) Beck of Bethesda, Md.;
five grandchildren, Cory, Megan, Brandon, Danica and Sam Farmer;
three brothers, Robert (and Diane) Farmer of Lincoln, Roland (and
Mary) Farmer of Lincoln and Larry (and Carol) Farmer of Middletown;
two sisters, Patricia Buckles and Darla Cheatham, both of Port
Charlotte, Fla.; and one sister-in-law, Marietta Paulsen of Emden.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth
Paulsen.
He
was a West Lincoln Township trustee.
He
graduated from Lincoln Community High School.
He
enjoyed his family and grandchildren and was an avid West Lincoln-Broadwell
and Lincoln Railer fan.
Memorials
may be made to Logan County Health Department, for medical
equipment, or to the fire fund for American Legion Post 263.
