Francesco Tomassone

Francesco "Franco" Tomassone, 89, of Mason City died at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at his home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.

A graveside service, with Father Pat DeMeulemeester officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mason City Cemetery.

Tomassone was born June 19, 1912, in Italy. He married Lossie Reynolds Chamblin in 1953 in Genoa, Italy. She died Dec. 22, 1995.

Surviving are one stepdaughter, Marcalene Clark of Portsmouth, Va..; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Francis Stauffer

Francis Stauffer, 90, of Lincoln, died at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Easton Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of arrangements.

Stauffer was employed by the Logan Mason Rehab Center.

He was born Nov. 4, 1911, to Marcellus and Maude Stauffer.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
