Reta
B. Oyer, 89, of Lincoln died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at
the Christian Village Nursing Home.
Her
funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Elkhart Christian
Church. Micheal Drake will officiate. Visitation will be at the
church one hour before the service.
Burial
will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mrs.
Oyer was a registered nurse.
She
was born July 3, 1912, in Golconda to Charles and Birdy Hall Sollars.
She married Jacob A. Oyer on Dec. 9, 1933, at Broadwell. He died
June 3, 1992.
Surviving
are one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Jean) Vehslage of Toledo, Ohio; seven
grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She
was also preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Marie Jackson; three
brothers, Thomas, Charles and Paul Sollars; and one sister, Edith
Minch.
She
was a member of Elkhart Christian Church.
In
lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to
Elkhart Christian Church or the Christian Village Nursing Home.

Village.

are pending at Holland and Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln.
