Donald Edwards

Donald J. "D.D." Edwards, 78, of McLean died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2002, at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at McLean Cemetery. The Rev. Don Doty will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta, is handling arrangements.

Edwards shelled corn in the McLean area for many years. He later delivered seed corn throughout Illinois and Indiana for Funks Seeds.

He was born Aug. 21, 1923, at McLean, to John and Zula Bunch Edwards.

Surviving are his brother, Roscoe Edwards of McLean, and two nephews.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

William Jackson

William L. Jackson, 58, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Atlanta, Bloomington and Springfield, died at 5:32 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2002, at East Texas Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kinder Cemetery, Hornsby.

Jackson was a self-employed carpenter.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was born April 27, 1944, at Worden to Alfred Leo and Irene Kayser Jackson.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemary Jackson of Tyler, Texas; one stepson, Steven Howe of Bloomington; three stepdaughters, Delisa Heard of Tyler, Texas, Debra Howe Graham of Chandler, Texas, and Jacquelin Carter of Longview, Texas; and three brothers, Kenneth Jackson of Houston, Texas, Robert Jackson of Morton and Thomas Jackson of Atlanta.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
