Physical therapist joins ALMH staff       Send a link to a friend

[DEC. xx, 2003]  Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the arrival of physical therapist Todd Mourning to the Rehabilitation Department.

Todd Mourning graduated from Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville. He holds a bachelor's degree in physical education with an emphasis in exercise physiology from Western Illinois University and a master's in physical therapy from St. Ambrose University. Prior to coming to ALMH, Todd was a physical therapist at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton. Todd's areas of interest are orthopedic injuries, manual therapy, joint replacement therapy and wound care.

Physical therapy strives to preserve, develop and restore an individual's optimal physical function. With a physician's referral, physical therapists and assistants at ALMH help alleviate pain and prevent the onset and progression of functional limitations that result from injury or disease. Physical therapy at ALMH includes manual therapy, aquatics, advanced conditioning, ergonomic and work simulation, wound care, inpatient and outpatient care, and strengthening and flexibility exercise programs.

The mission of the ALMH Rehabilitation Department is to provide the best rehabilitation care to those served and to consistently demonstrate that ALMH is the best choice for every rehabilitation need. The rehab staff provides inpatient and outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, audiology services, speech and language therapy, and wellness instruction.
