Goldie H. Aper
Goldie H. Aper, 100,
formerly of Emden, IL died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at 8:37 a.m. at
Christian Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral service will be
at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 25, 2003 at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church in Emden, IL with Rev. David L. Hofer officiating. Visitation will be
4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday February 24, 2003 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln and one hour prior to the services at the
church.
Burial will be in
Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg, IL..
She was born December
14,
1902, in Ostfreesland, Germany, to Eise and Anna Terviel Eeten. She married
Emil Kutz who died in July of 1928, then married John E. Aper on
December 5, 1933, in Emden, IL. He died in February of 1967.
Surviving are two sons,
Harold Kutz of Elkhart, IL, and John Aper of Lincoln; five daughters,
Anna Clara Westen of Emden, IL, Johanna Butler of Decatur, IL,
Goldie Burlingame of Ipava, IL, Eileen Hubard of Lincoln, IL, and
Mary Lou Bibben of Hartsburg, IL; 29 grandchildren; 49
great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry
Eeten of Emden, IL; and four sisters, Annetta Schleder of Delavan,
IL, Mabel Hoffman of Phoenix, AZ, Elsie Mammen of Emden, IL, and
Agnes Livengood of Delavan, IL.
She was also preceded
in death by two husbands, one son, one grandchild, one
great-grandchild, four brothers, and two sisters.
She was of the
Lutheran church and had attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church in
Emden, IL.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's
Lutheran Church or Christian Nursing Home.
E. Joyce Bishop
E. Joyce Bishop, 91,
of Lincoln died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at 10:26 p.m. at St.
Clara's Manor.
Her funeral will be
at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Burial will be in
Mount Pulaski Cemetery.
Mrs. Bishop was a
homemaker.
She was born July 2,
1911, at Indian Point, Petersburg, to Elaphas and Dora Huslex
Hibbard. She married Revie Elbert Bishop on Dec. 23, 1939, in St.
Charles, Mo. He died June 29, 1995.
Surviving are one
stepson, Robert (and Josephine) Bishop of Lincoln; one stepdaughter,
Virginia (and Glenn) McLain of Panama City, Fla.; nine
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded
in death by five brothers and five sisters. She was the last of her
immediate family.
She was of the
Baptist faith and had taught Bible school in Delavan.
Memorials may be made to St. Clara's
Manor in Lincoln.

William Welch
William F. Welch, 93,
of Lincoln died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at 12:32 p.m. at St. Joseph
Hospital in Bloomington.
Visitation will be
from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Kerrigan-Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln.
A prayer service at 1:45 p.m. will precede the visitation.
The funeral Mass will
be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln, with
the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in
Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mr. Welch and his
wife farmed in rural Lincoln.
He was born June 7,
1909, in Lincoln to Timothy and Margaret Hegele Welch. He married
Edith Voyles on March 14, 1934, in Decatur. She died Aug. 18, 1993,
in Lincoln.
Surviving are one
son, Milton (and Judy) Welch of Lincoln; one daughter, Sue Brown of
Lincoln; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandsons; and one sister, Margaret Kritzberger of Saben,
Minn.
He was also preceded
in death by two infant sons, two brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Welch was a
member of Holy Family Church and the Knights of Columbus Council. He
had been a board member for Skelton and Beason grain elevators.
Memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic
School.
