Mable Kisinger
Mable Ely Kisinger, 69, formerly of
Bedford, Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at 4:06 a.m. at Krause
Retirement Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
She had been an assembler for Alert
Stamping Factory in Bedford, Ohio, before retiring in 2000.
She was born May 14, 1933, in Lexington
to Raymond and Bertha Gandy Ely.
Surviving are one son, Michael Kisinger
of Stoneville, N.C.; two brothers, Kenneth (and Marlene) Ely of
Lincoln and Donald (and Judy) Ely of Cleveland, Tenn.; and one
sister, Alma (and Charles Robert) Dunham of Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by one
brother and two sisters.
She was a member of Broadwell Christian
Church.

Donald Zurkamer
Donald W. Zurkamer,
75, of Lincoln died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at 10:05 p.m. at St.
John's Hospital in Springfield.
A prayer service and
visitation were at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln on Tuesday.
The funeral was Wednesday
morning at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln,
with Father Thomas Taylor officiating.
Burial is in
Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Mr. Zurkamer was a
Borden's milk deliveryman for 40 years, until he retired in 1991.
Then he was a bus driver for the Lincoln school district from 1991
to 2001.
He was born June 6,
1927, in Lincoln to Louis and Rose Minder Zurkamer. He married Wanda
Marvel on May 26, 1951, in Lincoln. She survives.
Also surviving are
two sons, Steven (and Eileen) Zurkamer of Davenport, Iowa, and Mark
(and Carmen) Zurkamer of Lincoln; two daughters, Janice (and Kent)
Koester of Lincoln and Cathy (and Rick) Ricca of Springfield; 10
grandchildren, Andrea Zurkamer of Normal, Krista and Amy Zurkamer of
Williamsville, Luke Zurkamer of Jacksonville, Michelle and Sarah
Ricca of Springfield, Ryan Bast of Lincoln, and Kimberly, Heather
and Andrew Koester of Lincoln; and one brother, Raymond Zurkammer of
Lincoln.
He was preceded in
death by two brothers and one sister.
He was a member of
Holy Family Catholic Church, Lincoln Knights of Columbus 1250,
Bloomington Elks Lodge and Teamsters Local 26. He was with the
Knights of Rhythm for 30 years and with the Don Zurkamer Orchestra
from 1942 to 1947.
He was also an avid
fan of the Lincoln Railers and St. Louis Cardinals.

Paul Rempe
Paul B. Rempe, 85, of Lincoln died
Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at 1:15 a.m. at St. John's Hospital in
Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.
Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. A
prayer service at 3:30 will precede the visitation.
His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m.
Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln, with Father
Thomas Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mr. Rempe retired from United Farmer's
Seed Co. in Ransom.
He was a medic with the U.S. Army
during World War II.
He was born March 11, 1917, in
Lawrence, Neb., to William and Cecelia Lienert Rempe. He married
Lela L. Lehl on Jan. 8, 1941, in Crook, Neb. She died Aug. 31, 1993.
Surviving are two sons, Timothy (and
Becky) Rempe of Lincoln, Ill., and Mark (and Joyce) Rempe of
Bellevue, Ill.; two daughters, Vicky (and Tim) Bennett of Lincoln,
Ill., and Carol (and Mike) Walker of East Wenatchee, Wash.; six
grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren
and two step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Rempe of Lincoln,
Neb.; and three sisters, Dorothy Bomberger of Gainesville, Fla.,
Sister Sharon Rempe of St. Louis, Mo., and Margaret Armstrong of
Bennett, Neb.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic
Church, Knights of Columbus 1250, Lincoln Eagles Lodge 2708,
American Legion Post 263 and VFW 1756.
