A 'battle of the bands' scheduled
for teens

[JULY 25, 2003]  Teens can enjoy live outdoor jam sessions in a substance-free environment during the Lincoln Sesquicentennial celebration.

The evening of Saturday, Aug. 30, eight bands will perform in Latham Park from 8 to 11 p.m. The bands will be limited to 20-minute performances

Audience response will determine the favorite band.

Bands can pick up registration forms from Logan-Mason Mental Health, 304 Eighth St. in Lincoln.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Task Force are sponsoring the "battle of the bands" as a substance-free zone at the sesquicentennial.
