Ethel M. Coffey, 84, of Lincoln died
Sunday (June 1, 2003) at 2:07 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre
Her funeral was
Wednesday morning at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev.
David Russell officiating. Visitation preceded the service.
Burial is in Hartsburg Union
Cemetery.
Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker for her
family.
She was born June 19, 1918, to Simon
Henry and Katie Klokkenga Lolling. She married Wendell Oliver Coffey
on Oct. 14, 1940, at Hartsburg. He died March 9, 1988.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne (and
Twila K.) Coffey of Hartsburg, James (and Darlene) Coffey of Spring
Bay and Roger Dean Coffey of Hartsburg; five grandchildren, Gregory
Coffey of Lincoln, Shelley Coffey of Hartsburg, Darrin Coffey of
Lincoln, Jennifer Dawson of Peoria and Jill Coffey of Normal; four
great-grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas and Madelyn Thomas of Hartsburg
and Kendall Coffey and Morgan Coffey of Lincoln; and two brothers,
George Rudolph Lolling and Rudolph Ruben Lolling, both of Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death by one
son, Gary Lee Coffey; two brothers, Henry Simon Lolling and Alfred
Harm Lolling; and one sister, Elizabeth Mathilda Lolling.
Mrs. Coffey was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, Quilting Club and Ladies Aid, in which
she was active all her adult life.
Memorials may be made to her church.
Florence Behrends
Florence Carolyn Behrends, 85, of
Easton died Saturday (May 31, 2003) at 6:10 a.m. at Memorial Medical
Center in Springfield.
Her funeral was Wednesday morning at Christ Lutheran Church in Mason City, with the Rev.
Harold Woodworth officiating.
There was no visitation.
Burial is in Mason City Cemetery.
Mrs. Behrends was a homemaker on the
family farm.
She was born July 14, 1917, at San Jose
to Jacob and Anna Jacobs Imig. She married Walter Behrends on Jan.
13, 1935, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Allen's Grove.
Surviving are her husband; three sons,
Joe Behrends of Champaign, Darwyn (and Roselyn) Behrends of Mason
City and Darrel (and Anna Marie) Behrends of Mason City; six
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five brothers, Floyd,
Hank and Walter Imig, all of San Jose, Paul Imig of Texas and Duane
Imig of Florida.
She was preceded in death by four
sisters, Vera Rabbe, Helen Dierker, Alice Ann Imig and an infant
sister.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran
Church in Mason City and the Ladies Aid.

Betty Sunderland
Betty J. Sunderland, 80, of Lincoln
died Saturday (May 31, 2003) at 3:45 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in
Lincoln.
Her funeral was
Wednesday morning at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with Tom Gerdts officiating.
Visitation preceded the service.
Burial is in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mrs. Sunderland worked as a secretary
at Lincoln Christian Church for 19 years before she retired.
She was born Oct. 8, 1922, in Fisher to
Merle and Clara Nelson Crooks.
Surviving are one son, Kent (and Jean)
Sunderland of Bloomington; two daughters, Janet Benedict of La
Grange and Lynn (and Marion) Conover of Joplin, Mo.; six
grandchildren; Yvonne Cawthorn of Chicago, Michelle Weber of La
Grange, Kimberly (and Wayne) Bushnell of Springfield, Mo., Angela
Conover of Joplin, Mo.; Nathan (and Liz) Sunderland of Columbus,
Miss., and Jenna Sunderland of Bloomington; three
great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Nathan and Madeline Bushnell, all of
Springfield, Mo.; and one brother, Delmar (and Phyllis) Crooks of
Fisher.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian
Church.
