Kayleigh Byers

Kayleigh R. Byers, 16, of Easton died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at 12:42 p.m. at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, following an auto accident.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hurley Funeral Home, 603 E. Chestnut in Mason City.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Illini Central High School in Mason City. The Rev. Dave Kueker will officiate.

Burial will be in Easton Cemetery.

Kayleigh was a junior at Illini Central High School in Mason City.

She was born July 17, 1986, in Springfield.

Surviving are her mother, Veronica Haerle Armbrust (and husband Brian) of Easton, her father, Lawrence Byers (and wife Patti) of Winchester; three sisters, Morgan and Peyton Armbrust of Easton and a stepsister, Ashlee Brockhouse of Winchester; a stepbrother, Brandon J. Brockhouse of Winchester; and grandparents Richard (and Shirley) Haerle of Franklin, Rene (and Darrell) Strubbe of Jacksonville, Jeanne Byers of Jacksonville and stepgrandparents Kenneth (and Dorothy) Armbrust of Easton.

She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Lloyd Byers.

She was a member of the National Honor Society, Science Club, Best Buddies, Homecoming Committee, Spanish Club, Art Club and the Easton United Methodist Church. She was also very active in concerts and sporting events and was a big fan of the Cardinals. She was recognized by "Who’s Who Among American High School Students."

Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for her at Illini Central High School.


Jule Russo

Jule L. Russo, 3 months, of Mount Pulaski has died. Pronouncement of death was at 12:10 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation and funeral were at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski on Friday morning with J. Kent Hickerson officiating.

Burial is in Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Jule was born Nov. 14, 2002, in Lincoln to Louis V. and Miranda Aughenbaugh Russo.

Survivors are Jule's parents, of Mount Pulaski; one sister, Jasmine N. Aughenbaugh of Mount Pulaski; maternal grandparents Dennis and Kathy Aughenbaugh of Chestnut; paternal grandmother Sheri (and Ronnie) Baldwin of Clinton; paternal grandfather Frank Russo of Long Island, N.Y.; maternal great-grandparents Charles and Mary Schroth of Latham and Everett Aughenbaugh of Decatur; paternal great-grandparents Pamela and Roger Maxam of Riverside, Calif., and Ron and Linda Baldwin of Kenney; and several special aunts and uncles.

The infant was preceded in death by a grandmother, Joan Aughenbaugh.

Memorials may be made to the Jule Russo Memorial Fund.

Donald Bedwell

Donald L. Bedwell, 66, of Lincoln died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at 4:20 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mr. Bedwell retired from Lincoln Developmental Center, where he was a technician.

He served in the National Guard.

He was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Alexander County to Leslie and Pearl Thompson Bedwell.

Surviving are one brother, Larry (and Sharon) Bedwell of Lincoln, two step-nieces and three step-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of AFSCME Local 25, was steward of the union and vice president of the retirees' union.

Memorials may be made to Maple Ridge Health Care Centre in Lincoln or the American Diabetes Association.

Ernest Albertson

Ernest L. Albertson, 39, of Elkhart died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 12:40 p.m. at his home.

Mr. Albertson will be cremated, and there will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Jon Rose officiating.

Mr. Albertson worked as a carpenter in the Logan County area.

He was born July 25, 1963, in Sherman, Texas, to Donald "Tex" and Judy Licklyter Albertson.

Surviving are his father, of Lincoln; three sons, Andrew Albertson of Effingham and Tyler and Justin Albertson of Lincoln; one daughter, Taylor Albertson of Lincoln; and one stepdaughter, Tammy Fawns.

He was preceded in death by his mother and three brothers, Franklin "Pete," Gary and Melvin.

Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses or to Hospice Care of Illinois.
