[OCT. 1, 2003]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Maple Ridge bingo at The Oasis

Join us Thursday at 1 p.m. for bingo games. Treats, prizes and a good time are offered for your enjoyment.

Oct. 4 card party

Tickets are still available for the card party from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4. The cost is $5 for cards and dessert. You may purchase tickets at the front desk until 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.

Tuesday lunch

Buy a $3.50 lunch ticket before noon Monday, Oct. 6, for the Tuesday lunch of sausage, baked beans, salad and rolls. The lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.

Van trip planned

The reservation deadline is Oct. 9 for the previously unannounced trip to see "Anne Murray" on Oct. 30 at UIS, Springfield. Cost for members is $47 and $49 for nonmembers.

Game winners

Mildred Newberry won pinochle, Louise Wiebers and Tom Garrison won 5 in 1, Harley Heath won pool, and Len Krapp and Tom Garrison were rummy winners. During the week Helen Cart and Mable Hoagland won pinochle.
