Sunday sales to benefit

One-fourth of the
proceeds from sales at The Treasure Chest on Sunday afternoon, Sept.
28, will go toward this November's second annual Veterans'
Celebration.

St. John United Church of
Christ Youth Group will work at the store and sponsor the party to
honor all local veterans. Hours for the fund-raiser sales are 1-4
p.m. Sunday. The Treasure Chest, located at 109 S. Kickapoo, offers
a variety of decorative items and gifts, some made by local
crafters. Barb Reinwald of Lincoln owns the shop.
This year's Veterans'
Celebration is scheduled for 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at After
Shock. The Nostalgics will provide music, including a tribute to
each branch of the service. St. John Youth Group is planning for
dancing, games and food.

Co-chairs for the celebration
are Michael Schneider of Hartsburg and Megan Johnson of Latham.
Invitations will be sent to area veterans. To add a name to the

On Sunday, Sept. 28, St. John
Youth Group members will conduct worship services at 10:30 a.m. and
serve a lunch in the church Fellowship Hall. St. John United Church
of Christ is located at the corner of Seventh and Maple streets in
Lincoln.
