LC softball vs. Lincoln Land      

[APRIL 20, 2005]  SPRINGFIELD -- Two late-inning rallies carried Lincoln Land Community College to a doubleheader sweep over Lincoln College here Tuesday afternoon. Lincoln Land scored three times in the final two innings of the first game to post a 4-3 victory and then won the second game 3-0 with three runs in the final two innings.

Krystina Gomez was the losing pitcher in both games for the Lynx, coming on in relief of Kelly Nader in the first game. "Krystina threw a good game in the second contest, but we gave her no run support and our defense was not up to par," said Lincoln coach John Andrews.

Tiffany Tungate had a pair of hits for the Lynx in the first game while Ashley Shaw, Chonita Ziegler and Amber Stewart had one hit each. Ziegler and Courtney Baughman had two hits each for Lincoln College in the second game.
