[APRIL 25, 2005]  SPRINGFIELD --- A registry where users of E-85 (85 percent ethanol fuel) can report current prices around the state, an expanding list of stations carrying the fuel and other information is now available on a website operated by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

"E-85 is a fuel that is good for our environment and our farmers, and if you own a flexible-fuel vehicle, it is a real price bargain now compared to regular gasoline," noted Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Director Renee Cipriano.

"Using cleaner burning fuels whenever possible is just another way we can help the environment as we celebrate the 35th anniversary Earth Day," Cipriano added.

By clicking on www.illinoisgreenfleets.org, citizens can quickly access a complete list of vehicles that can use E-85, an updated list of gas stations selling the fuel, information on state rebates for using the fuel, the price registry and a chance to sign up for the "E-85 Club."
