ELKHART -- Juanita Leona Pippenger, 71, of Elkhart, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 4 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Jerry Pippenger officiating.

Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.

Mrs. Pippenger was a homemaker for her family.

She was born July 13, 1933, in Springfield to Thomas Franklin and Gladys Greene Payne. She married James Pippenger in Mount Pulaski on Feb. 12, 1971.

She is survived by her husband, of Elkhart; three sons, Thomas (and Anna Gautreaux) Marshall of Biloxi, Miss., Kelly Marshall of Elkhart and Michael (and Lori) Pippenger of Waynesboro, Pa.; two daughters, Pamela J. (and Dale) Cooper of Mount Pulaski and Wendy (and David) Hild of Mount Pulaski; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilbur Britton of Mountain Home, Idaho; and three sisters, Darlene (and Preacher) Parker of Lake Village, Ark., Frankie (and Barry) Nordyke of Jackson, Mich., and Janet (and Bud) Sutton of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Lewis Scott Marshall; and one grandson, Bobby Lee Fulk.

She was a member of Parkway Church of Christ in Springfield, Eagles Auxiliary of Lincoln and Women of the Moose in Lincoln.

She enjoyed playing bingo.

BLOOMINGTON -- Jimmie "Jim" O. Dickerson, 75, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Bloomington and Springfield, died Feb. 19, 2005, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, Fla.

A military graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton. The Rev. James O. Cravens will officiate.

Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dickerson retired from State Farm Insurance as a claims supervisor after 33 years. He and his wife moved to Florida in 1997.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was born April 5, 1929, in Springfield to Harrison O. and Anne E. Snape Dickerson. He was united in marriage to Mary M. Bowers on Nov. 10, 1950, at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul.

He is survived by his wife, of Winter Haven, Fla.; one son, Mark (and Penny) Dickerson of Herscher; one daughter, Susie (and Bill) Albert of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Jay (and Hillary) Dickerson of Rewey, Wis., and Jody Dickerson of Bloomington; and two great-grandchildren, Lillian and Maya Dickerson.

He was a member of the Polk County, Fla., Trap Shooting Club.

He graduated from Ball Township High School in Chatham and Western Illinois University in Macomb.

He loved his family, golfing and trap shooting.

Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.
