Basketball banquet       Send a link to a friend

[APRIL 27, 2005]  An end-of-the-season and awards banquet Monday evening in the Lincoln Room at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary honored the men's basketball team. The dinner was hosted by Kevin Crawford, athletic director, who presented awards to the team leaders for the past season. Two seniors were also recognized for their dedication to the basketball program and were given their framed varsity jerseys.

The team leaders recognized and receiving awards were:

  • Caleb Edson, Centralia, leader of the team in free-throw percentage with 75.8 percent and second in scoring with 430 points.
  • Travis Chase, St. Clair, Mo., the team leader in points scored, 478, and rebounds, 229, and second in 3-point percentage, 35.7 percent, and field goal percentage, 53.9 percent.
  • Howard Wickersham, Milroy, Ind., the team leader in field goal percentage with 58.7 percent.
  • Frank McCullum, Colorado Springs, Colo., who had the best 3-point percentage with 36.3 percent and was second in rebounds at 132 and in free-throw percentage with 75 percent.

  • Ryan Post, Eagle, Idaho, who led the team in assists with 161.
  • Donald Green, Widefield, Colo., who was second in assists with 93.
  • The two seniors receiving framed varsity jerseys were Donald Green and Brian Dunaway, Lincoln.
