SPRINGFIELD -- Ticket sales for the 2005
Illinois State Fair Grandstand concert lineup are soaring, with
ticket sales already exceeding 45,500, according to an announcement
Thursday by Amy Bliefnick, state fair manager. That's an average of
7,591 for each of the six concerts, quickly
approaching the highest per-concert average attendance on record of
7,633 in 1997.

"We have a fantastic grandstand lineup this year and judging by
ticket sales so far, the public is just as excited as we are,"
Bliefnick said.
The concert series begins tonight (Friday) with Rascal Flatts and
Blake Shelton. The concert is nearly sold out at over 13,000
tickets.
Ticket sales for the other five concerts will continue up until
showtime, including walk-up sales the night of the concert.
