Lincoln's King back in the National Football League?

By LDN staff          Send a link to a friend

[JULY 13, 2005]  Well, we're keeping our fingers crossed. Lincoln's Andy King, fresh off leading his Amsterdam Admirals to the European championship just last month, is hoping to catch on with another NFL franchise. The LDN has learned that King, who prepped at Lincoln Community High School before enjoying a stellar career on the offensive line at Illinois State, has signed a free-agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks. King will vie for a spot as a guard.

King played in a few games for the St. Louis Rams in both the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Perhaps Seattle coach Mike Holmgren's system will be finely suited for King's game and he will make the opening-day roster.

ISU's Boomer Grigsby is also trying to latch onto an NFL contract, with the Kansas City Chiefs.
